National Curriculum

Sophos Indonesia Senior High School implements the Merdeka Curriculum for Phases E and F with international adaptations to support students’ development according to their interests, talents, and future goals. Phase E covers all core subjects as a foundation with a total of 44 lesson hours per week, while Phase F consists of mandatory and elective subjects chosen based on academic interests and career plans, such as science, business, and social humanities. Bahasa Indonesia is used as the medium of instruction for subjects like Bahasa Indonesia, Pancasila Education, and Religious Education, while a bilingual approach (Bahasa Indonesia & English) is applied to other subjects and daily interactions. This curriculum is integrated with the International GCSE and A Level programs, equipping students with strong academic foundations, strong character, and readiness to compete both nationally and internationally.

Movie Making

As part of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation, Sophos School Indonesia involves students in a class-based film project where they create original films from concept to production. These films are showcased at official school events, providing a platform for creativity, collaboration, and public performance. The project also incorporates business management elements, with students planning budgets, managing teams, and promoting their work—cultivating both artistic abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Korean Language

Sophos School Indonesia is proud to be one of the very few schools in the Jabodetabek area that offers a Korean language program. Students begin learning from the very basics — starting with reading Hangeul (the Korean alphabet system) — and progress towards being able to hold simple daily conversations, deliver short presentations, and explore the richness of Korean culture.

This year, we established a sister school partnership with Samsan High School in Incheon, South Korea. Through this collaboration, our students have the valuable opportunity to participate in cultural exchange, connect with Korean peers, and broaden their global perspectives beyond the classroom.
