Our Blended Curriculum
Sophos Preschool is a place where the structure of the national curriculum meets the heart of the Montessori approach. Every child learns in their own way, at their own pace. At our preschool, we honor that individuality by combining the strengths of two powerful approaches: the structure of the National Curriculum with the child-centered, hands-on philosophy of Montessori education supported by the Cambridge curriculum. By combining a thematic learning approach with a scientific approach, we seek to provide a holistic approach to better enhance our students’ development.
Montessori Approach
Montessori is an educational method that focuses on supporting a child’s natural desire to learn through independent, hands-on activities in a carefully prepared environment. Preschool Program
At Sophos Preschool, our program is built on the belief that early childhood is a time of wonder, growth, and deep connection — not only between children and teachers, but also between school and home. We offer a play-based that supports the development of key skills in early literacy, numeracy, creativity, physical coordination, and social-emotional learning. What makes our program truly special is our strong emphasis on parent partnership. We believe that families are a child’s first and most important teachers. That’s why we involve parents through preschool programs such as Family Project. This collaboration helps create a consistent and supportive learning experience for every child.
